About

Visual
Thinking
School
Workshop for children on drawn animation.
Often, we perceive our surroundings through routine eyes – backpacks, old sneakers, parks we rush past – everything seems ordinary, familiar, even boring.

But what if these everyday objects and places hold hidden stories? What if, with attention and sensitivity, we discover their secret lives? Old sneakers may carry tales of journeys and roads traveled; backpacks could contain invisible cities with mysterious inhabitants; and trees in the park may whisper messages to each other in a language of wood.

In this workshop, participants will practice mindful observation, slowing down to notice details and listen quietly. What we often dismiss as boredom can become a guide to the most incredible stories!

Using photography and animation, we will make these imaginative narratives visible. Participants will create realistically poetic sketches inspired by their observations, combining photographed objects with hand-drawn animated stories.

Requirements: Each participant should bring a smartphone with photo capabilities. All other materials and tools are provided by the organizers.
