PF-27

PF-27 is an international contest for original greeting cards in the PF genre (Pour Féliciter, "to send good wishes"). Behind these two letters stands a European tradition more than a century and a half old: a festive card bearing an image and the number of the coming year.

Today PF is back as a space for personal artistic expression. Photography meets graphics, design meets text, and tradition meets a contemporary visual language. A card can be witty or serious, minimalist or intricate. It can carry the familiar tradition forward or reinvent it entirely.

PF-27 is open to photographers, photo artists, designers and visual artists from any country. You may enter a single work or a series. What matters is a distinctive point of view and the ability to turn the small format of a card into an artistic statement in its own right.

The best works will be shown at the final exhibition in a museum gallery, published in the contest's online catalogue and included in the Photo Union Collections.

Professional photographers, photo artists, designers and amateurs are invited to take part, as are photo clubs and creative collectives.

Each entrant may submit one work or a series of up to 6 cards.
The contest is open to entrants from any country.

Works are submitted electronically through the Photo Union website. Printed originals are required for the final exhibition. Technical requirements, the submission procedure and the terms of participation are set out in the Contest Rules.
